Meta Description:

Josh attempts a brutal fasting challenge — no food, just water, coffee, and electrolytes. From dizzy workouts to deep dish pizza cravings, here’s what happened when he tried to last 14 days without eating.

The Challenge Begins

Josh started with one last meal before hitting the timer. The rules were simple: no food, only water, black coffee, and electrolytes. His goal? Survive 14 days without eating.

At 216 pounds, Josh wanted more than weight loss — this was about discipline, mental toughness, and proving he could push through discomfort.

“It’s all in the head. If I can control my hunger, I can control anything.”

Hunger, Cravings & CiCi’s Pizza

The first couple days weren’t easy, but they weren’t impossible either. Josh pushed through morning grogginess, constant coffee runs, and gym sessions — all while burning massive calories without refueling.

But the cravings hit hard. CiCi’s Pizza, his favorite all-you-can-eat buffet, haunted his dreams. He admitted to watching pizza videos online just to cope.

Dizzy Workouts & Sleep in the Tesla

By day two, Josh began feeling lightheaded. He still hit the gym, determined to keep up with cardio and weight training, but admitted the dizziness reminded him of being drunk.

When he wasn’t working out, he was often sleeping in his Tesla, sometimes for 12+ hours at a time. Sleep became a way to escape hunger, but also left him groggy and off-balance during the day.

Life Outside the Fast: Job Hunting & Struggles

Beyond fasting, Josh opened up about life challenges. He had been job hunting, even interviewing for a pizza delivery job in Chicago — ironic, considering his obsession with pizza. But sleeping in his car made the logistics tough, and he ultimately backed out.

At the same time, he was juggling unpaid work frustrations, applying for unemployment, and debating whether to keep truck driving or find something new.

“I don’t want a normal job. I want YouTube. But I still have to survive.”

70 Hours In: Breaking Point 🍕

Josh managed to fast for 70 hours — just under 3 days — before temptation won. The culprit? Chicago deep dish pizza.

Armed with a gift card and hunger-fueled logic, he rationalized the decision: “If I’m going to break it Friday at CiCi’s anyway, why not now?”

He admitted it wasn’t the healthiest way to end a fast, going straight from water and coffee to thousands of calories of cheese and crust.

Still, he owned it. “I failed the challenge… but I’m going to try again.”

What Josh Learned

Even though he didn’t make it to 14 days, Josh walked away with lessons about:

  • Discipline – Hunger is as much mental as physical.
  • Vulnerability – Struggles with food, work, and living in a car are part of the bigger story.
  • Persistence – Failure isn’t final; he plans to attempt the challenge again.

Final Thoughts

Josh’s No Food Challenge wasn’t about a perfect outcome — it was about documenting the real process, cravings, struggles, and messy reality of fasting while chasing bigger dreams.

And if you’ve ever wondered how long you could last without food? Josh just proved it’s harder than it looks.
