Some days don’t follow a plan.
They’re unfiltered, exhausting, funny, and somehow meaningful all at once.
This was one of those days.
From shaving off a so-called depression beard to attending a wedding, battling Chicago traffic, working through the night, and running on almost no sleep—this is a real day in the life vlog, exactly how it happened.
This is The creator josh, living life without edits.
🧠 The Depression Beard (Let’s Talk About It)
“You see this right here? This is what we call a depression beard.”
Now let me be clear—I wasn’t depressed.
But the beard had to go.
There was a wedding to attend, and sometimes a clean shave feels like more than grooming. It feels like a reset. A fresh start. A small decision that puts you back in control.
As the beard came off, so did some of the mental weight.
Smooth. Clean. Ready.
No haircut though… and yeah, that part hurt a little.
🚿 Cleaning Up & Feeling Human Again
After the shave, it was full reset mode.
Cleaning up.
Taking care of the basics.
Doing the things people forget—like cleaning your ears.
It’s wild how small routines can completely change your energy. Suddenly, you don’t just look better—you feel better.
For a moment, everything felt put together.
🖤 The All-Black Fit (Because Obviously)
If you know me, you already know what’s coming.
Black.
I tried to “switch it up” by wearing black on top of black on top of black.
The fit wasn’t tux-level formal.
It was casual. Clean. Comfortable.
Still sharp. Still confident.
Black makes me feel grounded. Mysterious. Like myself.
This wasn’t about fashion.
This was identity.
💨 Cologne, Confidence & the Vaseline Trick
Here’s a simple life hack that actually works:
If you want your cologne to last all day:
- Apply a tiny amount of Vaseline to your pulse points
- Spray lightly over it
- Don’t overdo it
Too much cologne kills the scent.
Subtle always wins.
Confidence doesn’t need to be loud.
👨👩👧👦 Family, Weddings & Being Present
Lately, family has meant more to me than ever.
We don’t usually have many events, but suddenly it’s been wedding after wedding. This one felt special—probably the last wedding of the year.
Moments like these don’t repeat.
So I wanted to be present.
No rushing. No distractions.
Just enjoying it while it lasts.
🚗 Chicago Traffic, Filipino Time & Reality
The wedding started at 1:30.
It was already close to noon.
If you’re from Chicago, you already know—downtown traffic is brutal.
Add Filipino time into the mix and suddenly you’re speed-walking toward the door, hoping today isn’t the day traffic ruins everything.
We bundled up, grabbed the coat, and moved.
No hesitation.
💍 The Wedding, The Vibes & No Food?!
The ceremony was beautiful.
More religious than expected, but honestly refreshing to witness something different.
The only problem?
No food.
So my fuel for the day became:
- Coffee
- Espresso
- Pure hope
The espresso didn’t even work.
Some days caffeine just gives up on you.
🌙 From Wedding to Work (No Breaks)
After the wedding, there was no real break.
I took a nap in my car—barely an hour—and headed straight to work.
This is creator life sometimes.
You film.
You live.
You work.
You don’t sleep.
By day, I’m a YouTuber.
By night… apparently Batman.
🌻 Sunflower Seeds: The Ultimate Survival Hack
If you work nights or drive long hours, listen closely:
Sunflower seeds are elite.
They keep your brain active.
They fight sleep.
They distract your mind just enough to keep going.
One of the best survival hacks I’ve learned on the road.
🎥 A Typical Day in The Creator Josh’s Life
By morning, exhaustion finally hit.
From a wedding → to work → to no sleep → to another day.
It wasn’t glamorous.
It wasn’t aesthetic.
It was just real.
This is a normal, chaotic, unfiltered day in the life of The creator josh—balancing creativity, responsibility, and reality.
🔥Living Through the Chaos, One Day at a Time
Some days you don’t have it all together.
Some days you shave the beard, dress up, celebrate love, then go straight to work with zero sleep.
And that’s real life.
This wasn’t about perfection.
It wasn’t about pretending everything is easy.
It was about showing up and documenting life as it happens.
Messy. Exhausting. Still worth it.
This is the reality of creator life—and I wouldn’t trade it.
Thank you for being here.
I’ll see you in the next one.
